L'Oréal Australia Awards their 2021 Beauty for All Scholars

L'Oréal Australia supports the next generation of aspiring beauty professionals in partnership with Kangan Institute

They show that the world of beauty is more than just a creative outlet, but an avenue that drives confidence, purpose and self-expression throughout times of hardship.

L'Oréal Australia presents the 2021 Beauty for All scholarship awards, which provides young, passionate, and aspiring beauty professionals with valuable education opportunities and a career pathway into the beauty industry.

This year’s recipients have faced cultural and financial hardships and we are proud to award such deserving students with the tools to support them accomplish their dreams. It is the entrepreneurial spirit and motivation of these individuals which makes them stand out from the crowd, and is the kind of talent L'Oréal Australia seeks to foster.

We are proud to support four deserving students with generous scholarships, equating to a total of $50,000, to cover the recipients’ full tuition expenses at Kangan Institute, one of the largest and most trusted education and training providers in Victoria.

“Seeing how passionate and skilled our Beauty for All Scholars already are, is a highlight of this program each year. And being able to contribute to helping them achieve their goals is at the heart of our work at L'Oréal Australia. We are committed to supporting the communities we are a part of and we are incredibly proud of these outstanding young people. We can’t wait to see them progress in their careers,” says Marnie Carroll, Corporate Affairs & Engagement Director, L'Oréal Australia.

The 2021 Beauty for All scholars were recognised at a virtual awards ceremony on the 6th of October, hosted by Author, Entrepreneur, and Seize the Yay podcast presenter, Sarah Davidson. Attendees were treated to a makeup masterclass by Lancôme’s Director of Artistry, Lara Srokowski as well a live cocktail making demonstration from The Eveleigh, a renowned bar in Fitzroy, Melbourne.  

“Venezuela is currently facing one of the biggest humanitarian crises in the world due to the authoritarian government, my mother and two younger siblings have no access to social services and financial assistance. So, I work hard in order to keep sending them money for food and basic needs,” said Isvananda Roman.
“It has taken me an incredibly long time to see exactly how strong, creative and driven I truly am. I have always had an interest in beauty therapy, a career option that allows me to display how artistic and talented I am,” said Sarah Munzel.
“You can make your dream come true. If you want something, don’t give up for anything, no matter your situation, don’t be afraid to start your journey, it will happen,” said Haneen Zakariya.
“Beauty makes you feel confident and skincare is very important for the overall health and look of your skin. It makes you feel special,” said Harsimranjeet Kaur.

L'Oréal believes that beauty is a powerful force that moves us. We know that beauty is more than just looking good; beauty gives us confidence in who are, in who we want to be and in our relationships with others.
