Spain: Burgos, L’Oréal’s First “waterloop Factory"

In addition to its renewable energy production installations, the Burgos plant in Spain established a wastewater recycling system in 2017.

The facility has since been upgraded to increase the plant’s capacity to reuse water at the end of the production process.

The result: in 2017, the Burgos plant became the Group’s first "waterloop factory". Today, 100% of the water used for industrial processes is cleaned and recycled in a closed loop on site, so that it can be used again.
