L’Oréal Belgilux, based in Brussels, was our Group’s very first subsidiary.
In 1927, the Lefèbvre family began exclusively distributing the first coloring products developed by Eugène Schueller to hairdressing salons.
Since then, a large portfolio of brands has broadened our offering, meeting all the beauty needs and desires of Belgian consumers.

Established in the heart of the Ardennes in 1975, L’Oréal Libramont manufactures hair dye and hair care products for Europe.
In 2009, it became our Group's first carbon neutral plant, thanks to the addition of a bio-methane facility.
A new milestone was reached in 2019, when L’Oréal Libramont became a ‘dry’ factory by reusing its wastewater.
At L’Oréal, we care for animal welfare and we do not test on animals. We are for beauty with no animal testing.
Since 1989, 14 years before the "EU" regulations required us to do so, we have not tested the safety of our products on animals.
Because we care about animal welfare, over 40 years ago, L’Oréal pioneered the development of human reconstructed skin that can be used to evaluate how cosmetic ingredients and products behave on human skin.
