L'Oréal Canada brings you into a world of beauty, the Beauty that moves the world

Because there are as many forms of beauty as there are people on earth, L'Oréal Canada's mission is to offer cosmetic experiences that reflect and recognize this diversity and individuality.

We have built the richest portfolio of 40 diverse and complementary brands organized around 4 divisions. We offer a wide selection of products across a broad price range and in all categories: skincare, sunscreen, make-up, hair care and color, fragrance and other products, including personal care. We are constantly reinventing our brands to ensure that we are always in tune with consumer preferences.

L'Oréal Canada employs more than 1,450 people in a variety of roles and functions, including sales, marketing, e-commerce, information systems, operations, research and innovation, as well as a range of corporate functions in the areas of administration & finance, human resources, diversity & inclusion and engagement, etc.

Our teams are immersed in an innovative, exciting work environment where the "entrepreneurial" culture prevails and where passion and excellence are the two key levers of success.

L'ORÉAL OPERATES FOUR SITES IN CANADA

A head office in downtown Montreal that has been completely renovated and refurbished to promote collaboration, well-being and new technologies.

A plant in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal, which became carbon neutral in 2018, manufactures hair care, styling and skin care products in compliance with the highest quality, health, safety and environmental standards. More than 219 million units were produced there in 2021. At the height of the first wave of COVID-19 outbreaks, the plant quickly moved into manufacturing hand sanitizing gels for hospitals.

A distribution center located at the edge of Montreal's Bois-de-Liesse nature park, which is among the most modern in the L'Oréal Group and was expanded in 2021. More than 1.2 million orders were prepared and shipped there in 2021. Of these, 815,000 were from e-commerce. Operations at the distribution center have been carbon neutral since 2018.

A sales office is also located in Toronto.

L'Oréal Canada also has 16 street-fronted boutiques for the Kiehl's brand across Canada.

L'Oréal Canada is committed to being one of the best employers in the country, fostering a workplace where everyone feels welcomed and valued. Promoting gender equality, fostering diversity and inclusion, and implementing progressive workplace practices are key objectives.

On a daily basis, the teams at L'Oréal Canada devote their energy and all their skills to a single business, Beauty that moves the world, by taking concrete actions to be responsible, act ethically, innovate and create value.

At L’Oréal, we care for animal welfare and we do not test on animals. We are for beauty with no animal testing.

Since 1989, 14 years before the "EU" regulations required us to do so, we have not tested the safety of our products on animals.
Because we care about animal welfare, over 40 years ago, L’Oréal pioneered the development of human reconstructed skin that can be used to evaluate how cosmetic ingredients and products behave on human skin.

At L'Oréal Canada, our Sense of Purpose is to create beauty that moves the world.

Beauty whose powerful force drives freedom and empowerment, beauty that fosters exchange and promotes sharing. Beauty that brings barriers down and communities together.

We create beauty for and around people, to help shape our common future.

To open new possibilities and protect the future of our planet, we have raised the bar and are launching a new programme called L'Oréal for the Future, which addresses larger issues. We've set ourselves bold targets for 2030 on climate, water, biodiversity and natural resource, in accordance with what scientific experts demand and what our planet needs.

As Canada's #1 beauty leader, we want to shoulder greater responsibility, mobilize our entire ecosystem and demonstrate that corporations can be part of the solution to the challenges the world is facing while creating value.

We are acting to create the beauty of tomorrow, beauty that is more inclusive, more sustainable and more generous. Our goal is to offer the best of beauty in terms of quality, efficiency, safety, authenticity, and responsibility, to meet the beauty wants and needs of a diversified Canadian population.

We are acting to advance social innovation by offering our employees outstanding working conditions, the finest training and the best benefits.

Our company is strong, talented and agile with diversified teams driven by passion and determination.

We believe in each member of our teams and encourage them to express their individuality. We want our employees to feel that they can be themselves within their teams and that they can achieve their full potential. We are investing in collaborative workspaces that foster networking, well-being, communication and allow colleagues to share information.

The beauty of tomorrow reinvented by technology and science

L'Oréal Canada has established itself as a leading global resource in e-commerce and beautyTech. In the age of connected beauty, we are promoting open innovation to foster more creative concepts, internally and externally, and change the way consumers interact with beauty. This requires establishing lasting relationships with Canadian beauty and technology start-ups. Together, we can create a new generation of innovative beauty products, devices and digital services.

The Canadian subsidiary is considered a leader when it comes to environmental and social issues. Its operations have been carbon neutral since 2017. Several of its programs help to empower women, such as L'Oréal Foundation’s L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science, which has been promoting the advancement of women in science in Canada since 2003, and Beauty for a Better Life, a social reinsertion program through hairdressing for immigrant women launched in 2017.

Finally, beauty is everywhere, in biodiversity as well as in each person's ability to express his or her individuality, and to know, to understand and to listen to their fellow human beings. This passion for beauty is at the heart of L'Oréal Canada's values. This passion is what fuels L'Oréal Canada’s journey, and I couldn't be more motivated and excited about what lies ahead.
