Towards More Sustainable Work Places

In 2016, a new action plan was developed within the scope of the Sharing Beauty With All programme. Called Working Sustainably, this plan concerns service buildings (offices, administrative buildings and research centres), which are now fully integrated into the process of sustainable transformation and improvement of L’Oréal’s social and environmental impacts. A series of targets for 2020 have been set, including a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions in absolute terms, a 20% decrease in water consumption and waste production (per 100 hours worked), zero waste to landfill and, finally, a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions from L’Oréal’s car fleet. All the Group’s sites will provide an annual reporting on each of the targets and implement a local action plan closely involving employees.
